Engine type, air–fuel mix, nitro percentage, and even air temperature are things that must be taken into consideration. What's more, the ideal glow plug choice will change as conditions change. Keeping a range of glow plugs on hand will help you fine–tune glow heat and enjoy maximum performance in all conditions. Generally, Hot plugs promote better idling and acceleration. If your engine runs rough or accelerates sluggishly, a hotter plug will help. Cold plugs produce more power and may improve performance if your engine runs hot. The downside is rougher idling and more difficulty in tuning.

This is a O.S. Engines T-Series RP7 Medium Heat Range Turbo Glow Plug. This glow plug is ideal for .12-.21 size O.S. on road racing engines that create high RPM and require a cold heat range turbo style glow plug.

O.S. Speed No.8 Short Body Standard "Medium" (Non-Turbo Backyard Basher) Glow Plug
The O.S. #8 glow plug is the most widely used O.S. glow plug for O.S. engines. Recommended for most current O.S. (and other brands of) 2-stroke R/C engines. Note that O.S. engine plugs are SHORT body plugs and should only be used in engines that require a short body plug. O.S. plugs should not be used in Novarossi, RB Concept and most other motors manufactured in Europe. A medium heat range plug for 1/8 scale racing and most .12-21 car, boat and truck engines. This a non-turbo plug and is recommended more for backyard bashing. Not recommended for racing. Features:
